At Henriette Le Forestier Preparatory School, our aims are to inspire pupils with faith, hope, justice and love, enabling them to grow and to have a strong desire to learn. We strive to create an environment where all pupils feel secure and valued, and seeks to challenge each child intellectually and to facilitate quality learning.
Our recent ISI Inspection said “Pupils attitudes to learning are excellent. Their exemplary behaviour in lessons and positive relationships with each other and their teachers enable good learning to take place.”
We hold values of kindness and sharing to promote a nurturing environment for children to learn. Our pupils are happy and safe and excel with confidence.
The house system is an important part of our pastoral care. The children are assigned to one of four houses (St Lucy, St Raphael, St John and St Paul) for sports, quizzes, games and other activities. In this way children build relationships with their Head of House and house mates throughout their life in our school.
At the end of the school year and as part of preparation for life, positions of responsibility are given to some of the senior children. A Preparatory School Head Girl/Boy and Deputy Head Girl/Boy are selected to take on the role of ambassadors for the school. A number of Prefects and four House Captains are also elected to help in the running of the “Houses”. The children who hold these positions of responsibility are expected to set an example for the other pupils to follow. All staff are involved in the selection procedure.
