As we work towards becoming a Forest School, we embrace outdoor learning within our planning. Many trips are taken within our own extensive grounds and woods.
Science Museum – Science Week
Crystal Palace Chapel Manor Farm
Florence Nightingale Museum
London Youth Games
Ragged School, Shoreham
Crystal Palace Overground Festival
We are in close proximity to local parks including Crystal Palace, Dulwich and Norwood parks.
One of the advantages of being within 30 minutes of London is the range of opportunities the capital offers. The school has taken many trips to London to enjoy the sights including Cricket at the Oval, HMS Belfast, Houses of Parliament and Tower Bridge which are all within 30 minutes of the school.
We enjoy a wide range of trips to extend our knowledge beyond the classroom. Recent visits have been to London Zoo, The Horniman Museum, the Ragged School Museum, The Crystal Palace transmitter, Chessington World of Adventure and the cinema as part of the Children into Film festival.
We also welcome many visitors to enrich our learning including well known children’s authors, the Space Dome, Spud and Yam, the Metropolitan Police, Olympic athletes, Upper Norwood library, musicians, the Chelsea Pensioners and an annual pantomime to name but a few!
Each year group will take a trip and whole school journeys are made to the Science Museum during Science Week. Year 6 spend five days on a residential adventure holiday, after they have finished with exams.
